The 4-Day Workweek

Some of you've noticed I tend to skip posting on long weekends.
I do this for you (less reading/thinking), as much as I do this for me (less writing/thinking).
The (original) plan; Make the most of every long weekend.
After thinking about this, a lot, I've upgraded my plan; Make every workweek 4-days
Another way to say it; Make every weekend a long weekend!
Why not?
We're halfway through 2024.
Are you halfway to achieving your 2024 goal(s)?
Would your year-end results change if you took Fridays off?
Maybe at first you're still in the office Fridays, but with zero booked meetings (insert a calendar block).
After a few weeks you leave at 3pm, then noon... and then you take the entire Friday before the next long weekend off.
Would your production change? (it won't)
Would your happiness level change? (it will)
I know I'm as productive in 4 workdays (this week & last) as 5 (next week).
Because I have to be.
Many studies on productivity back this up.
The 4-day workweek is real.
It is effective.
Would it really matter if you exited your office by noon every Friday for the rest of this year, or the rest of your career?
Probably not.
So will you?
Will you take even a small step in this direction?
You can think about it, or you can do it.
