AI Isn’t the Problem. Time Is. Or Maybe I Am.

Everyone’s talking about AI. But hardly anyone is using it in a deep, meaningful way.

And no, it’s not because Brokers are technophobes or stuck in the past. It’s because most of us don’t feel like we have ten spare seconds to learn a new piece of tech, even when we know it could save us hours in the long run.

That’s the real tension.

On the other side of seconds lie hours. But the risk of wasting those seconds keeps us from making the trade.

Which is kind of crazy.

But then again, Brokering was never a job for the completely sane.

Most AI tools don’t fail on features. They fail on friction.

If it doesn’t work smoothly and perfectly the first time, on a real file, it’s done.

It’s done.
We’re done.
Next.

Not because we’re being unreasonable. Because we don’t have room for error. Or time for retries.

This is a business of urgent, complex decisions. A tool that might help later gets steamrolled by the method we already trust, even if it’s slower.

So maybe AI adoption isn’t about vision or belief.
Maybe it’s about immediacy. And most of all, simplicity.

The AI that wins won’t be branded as AI.
It will quietly eliminate an annoying task inside the workflow we already use.

No prompts.
No training.
No second chances.

Adoption isn’t a tech challenge.
It’s a substitution challenge.

If something new doesn’t kill an old habit on sight, it won’t stick.

Simple as that.

The simplest wins the AI race.
We’ve been conditioned to expect simple when it comes to tech.

End of.
